About

BeckyGilbert

I’m a web developer specializing in web-based experiments, and a post-doctoral researcher interested in short-term memory and language.

I’m currently working as a freelance developer for jsPsych, which is a free and open source JavaScript library for running web-based experiments, created by Josh de Leeuw. This work involves adding new features, testing, debugging, creating new instructional materials, and offering support. Please feel free to email me if you’re interested in hiring me for web-experiment consulting and programming.

My research page has more information about my work on short-term memory for the timing of spoken word sequences, which I did during my PhD work with Tom Hartley and Graham Hitch, and on the interpretation of words with multiple meanings, which I’ve done with Jenni Rodd. I now work at the MRC CBU as a web-experiment developer and post-doc in Matt Davis‘ lab, where I investigate speech perception and comprehension.

I’m always interested in discussing my work with potential collaborators. Please feel free to email me. You can also find me on Twitter , Github, Google Scholar, and ResearchGate.
